Privacy policy

LAST UPDATED: 14 OCTOBER 2026

This policy explains how Framework View collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit frameworkview.com, sign up for updates, contact us, or use one of our plug-ins on a development website.

Who we are

Framework View is part of Framework Creative, a trading name of Framework Solutions Scotland Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC616889). Our registered office is Clyde Offices, West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BP.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, except where we explain otherwise below.

For any question about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

Whose information we hold

  • People who sign up for updates on frameworkview.com.
  • People who contact us or book a demo.
  • Our clients: developers, housebuilders, build-to-rent and student accommodation operators, letting and sales agents, and their staff.
  • Buyers and renters who use our plug-ins on a client's website or development microsite. Here we usually act for our client; see When we act for a client.
  • Visitors to our website.

What we collect

  • Sign-up details: your email address and the type of work you tell us you do.
  • Enquiry and demo details: your name, company, email address, phone number, details of your development and anything else you tell us.
  • Client details: business contact details, project and account history, billing and invoice details, correspondence, and dashboard logins.
  • Plug-in details, on behalf of our clients: enquiries, viewing requests and register-interest forms; upgrade and finish selections; and reservation details where a client takes reservations online.
  • Photographs, video, drone imagery, 3D scans and floorplans of buildings, developments and surrounding areas. We try not to capture people, and we avoid or remove personal items such as family photos and documents where we can. When a flat or room is let, it is removed from the live tour on our servers so tenants' homes cannot be viewed.
  • Website technical data: our hosting provider automatically records basic information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.

When we act for a client

When a developer, housebuilder, operator or agent uses our plug-ins on their own website or a development microsite, they decide why and how buyers' and renters' details are used. In that situation the client is the data controller and we act on their behalf (as a data processor), only to run the service: passing on enquiries and viewing requests, recording upgrade selections, and supporting reservations.

If you are a buyer or renter, the client's own privacy notice also applies, and you can contact them or us with any questions.

Some plug-ins handle information in specific ways:

  • View Maps: when you use the commute tool, the postcode you type is sent to Google to calculate journey times. We do not store it. We record how the map is used, such as which layers and places are opened, without any personal data.
  • View Choices: your selections are passed to the developer's sales and site teams to confirm your specification.
  • Online reservations: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and the platform, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Cloudflare: hosting for our website, tours and platform
  • Airtable: client, project and sign-up records
  • Make: automations that pass enquiries and updates between our systems
  • Microsoft 365: email
  • Dropbox: storing and delivering media
  • Google: maps and journey times in View Maps, and fonts on our website
  • Stripe: reservation payments, where a client uses them
  • Our clients, for enquiries and selections made through their websites
  • Our accountants, and HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers, including Cloudflare, Airtable, Make, Dropbox, Google and Stripe, may store or process data outside the UK, mainly in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the ICO's approved international data transfer agreement.

How long we keep it

  • Sign-up details: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after our launch if we haven't been in touch about a project.
  • Enquiries and demo requests: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client project information and media: for the length of our contract, then 12 months, unless the client asks us to delete it sooner.
  • Information we process for clients: as long as the client instructs us, and deleted or returned when our contract ends.
  • Invoices and financial records: 6 years, as required by law.
  • Images used in our portfolio: for as long as they appear there, with the client's permission.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it
  • ask us to transfer it to another organisation
  • withdraw your consent to updates at any time

Email [email protected] to use any of these rights. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.

Cookies

frameworkview.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, so when you visit, your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address so the fonts can be displayed. Google Fonts does not set cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Development microsites we build for clients may use maps and other tools that set cookies. Where they do, these load only after you give consent, and the microsite's own notice explains them.

Keeping your information secure

We use secure, access-controlled systems, limit access to people who need it, and use providers with recognised security standards. Client dashboards use individual logins with access set per person.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
